branches stroke the sun
roots caress the warm dry earth
above as below
sharp plough-cast stones
night glistening silver sparks
moondark field of stars
night sets day rises
noon midnight pivot our time
children play seesaw
moon over water
light skipping silver ripples
stone across a pond
below as above
birds brush the cold damp clouds
fish sweep the deep sea
So perfect, these are truly lovely!!
Thank you very much!
Haiku is such a perfect form to work within. Sometimes, as with this piece, things just fall together so well that it’s almost as if they’re writing themselves into existence… a bit like us, eh?
